AAU SELECTED BY ISF TO REPRESENT USA

​The Amateur Athletic Union is proud to announce that it has been selected by the International School Sport Federation (ISF) to be the representative for the United States of America.

The Amateur Athletic Union is proud to announce that it has been selected by the International School Sport Federation (ISF) to be the representative for the United States of America.

The International School Sport Federation (ISF) in an international sport governing body for school sport. Founded in 1972 it has 86 member nations from five continents. The ISF is a member of SportAccord and is recognized by the International Olympic Committee.

The AAU Karate will be participating in the ISF Gymnasiade 2018 (Summer High School Games) in Merrakech, Morocco, May 2nd through 9th, 2018.  This event is sanctioned by the auspicious of the SportAccord, the competition will be held under WKF/Olympic style rules. AAU Karate will be holding open team tryouts February 2nd through 4th, 2018, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. These tryouts are open to all high school aged athletes, who are U.S. residents, and have a valid passport.  Athletes selected for this team must be high school age at the time of competition. Team tryouts are open to all athletes regardless of style, dojo, or association/ federation.  AAU Karate will send a delegation of up to 28 karate-ka to represent to United States at this competition.
